India has overtaken the US in having the largest office building in the world. The Diamond Exchange Office, a record breaker for the diamond industry in Gujarat, is now the largest office complex in the world.
The newly opened Surat Diamond Bourse is a 15-storey complex. It is built on an area of more than 35 acres. The building has an area of 7.1 million square feet. Thus surpassing the US Pentagon to become the largest office building in the world.
It is considered a “one-stop destination” for over 65,000 diamond professionals, including cutters, polishers and traders.
